The Blue Jays knuckleballer may no longer pitch in the National League East, but he can’t escape the Atlanta Braves. In Thursday’s series finale, Dickey will face his old nemesis at Turner Field in the final game of the pair of two-game sets this week against the Braves.

Last season, Dickey posted an 8.80 ERA in three starts against Atlanta — easily his highest mark against any club. In 15 1/3 innings, he allowed 21 hits and eight walks. So he is pitching very bad against Atlanta and maybe this trend will continue tonight.

In 2013, Dickey is still trying to regain his form from last year. He’s just 4-6 on the season with a 4.85 ERA, and he’s coming off an outing in which he allowed six earned runs to the Orioles on Saturday.

Opposite Dickey will be Braves left-hander Mike Minor, who has been one of the better pitchers in the NL over the last calendar year. His 6-2 record this season and 2.47 ERA is no aberration. In his past 25 starts, the 25-year-old left-hander has pieced together a 2.32 ERA.

In addition Atlanta’s .524 winning percentage in Interleague Play is the second best all-time among NL teams. Atlanta is 9-3 in its last 12 games and Atlanta is 7-1 in its last 8 games at home. Moreover Atlanta is 8-2 in its last 10 games when playing at home against Toronto. On the other hand Toronto is 6-12 in its last 18 games on the road.
