We think today is one of those moments with the NBA’s contest between the Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies. Lakers finally managed to break their awful losing streak on Sunday night, beating Charlotte Bobcats (107-92), after starting the season with 5 defeats. But don’t let this one game blur your mind, this is still one of the worst teams. Well Kobe Bryant is there but he is old. Plus, Lakers have NO big man at center, NO bench and NO defense. Why I am talking about defense? Because Lakers held a team to under 108 points only once this season. In addition, on the road they have allowed 119 at Phoenix and 127 at Golden State.
On the other hand we have The Grizzlies — where the defense is great again this year and that’s why they are 6-1, with five straight under games. Plus, they have held their last six opponents to 93 or fewer points and Charlotte (last team beaten by Lakers) didn’t even make 70 against them. We expect Grizzlies to score more than their average against this terrible Lakers’ defense. So Grizzlies should be able to shut down Kobe Bryant and Jeremy Lin and if they manage to do it, we can’t see any chances for the visiting team.
