Let’s talk about baseball and the National League Division Series

National League Division Series already started and tonight we will have the pleasure to watch the second portion of the battles between WAS Nationals vs. SF Giants and LA Dodgers vs. STL Cardinals. In game 1 victorious were the away teams and tonight Nationals and Dodgers don’t have other option except taking the 2nd game.If Washington lose Game 2, they will go from popular World Series favorites to prohibitive National League Division Series underdogs. But they at least can take comfort in the fact that their best statistical pitcher, Jordan Zimmermann, will take the mound fresh off his no-hitter in Sunday’s regular-season finale. Longtime National League East rival Tim Hudson will start for the Giants. Zimmermann has 36 starts this season and in 31 of them he didn’t allowed a run in the 1st inning. For compare, Hudson has slightly worse stats, allowing a run in 1st inning 8 times in his last 31 starts. If we combine the stats of both pitchers in 1st inning we have 51-13 record, which makes 80% chance of having under 1.5 runs in the 1st inning tonight.

In this direction we think it’s good option for us to get some value from this pitching duel:

» WAS Nationals (Zimmermann) vs. SF Giants (Hudson), Under 1.5 Runs in 1st Inning

Let’s take a look at the Dodgers vs. Cardinals game, where again we have some ace pitchers like Zack Greinke and Lance Lynn. Greinke is 24-8, when we talk about allowing runs in 1st inning, while Lynn is 27-9. Combined, we have 51-17, which give us 75% chance of having under 1.5 runs in 1st inning. So what are you waiting for?
