21:20 CHI Cubs v WAS Nationals Under 1.5 Runs in 1st Inning 1.29  winner
Stake: 100 Units
Total Odd: 1.29

The last game from the series will take place tonight between Cubs and Nationals at “Wrigley Field”. This match will give the answer whether Cubs will tie the series or Nationals will win it. To secure the win in the closing match both managers will send on the mound one of their best pitchers this year. Cubs will count on Travis Wood, while Nationals on Stephen Strasburg.

Wood is 7-10 with 3.13 ERA this year and he is one of the best, if not the best, pitchers in the Cub’s rotationin. Many times the Cubs have failed to provide Wood the run support he needs to win more games. But here we are focused on his pitching performance, so we don’t care about the run support. When we look at Wood’s first innings performance, we will be amazed – he has allowed a run in 1st inning only two times in his last 15 starts.

Strasburg, who is 6-9 with 2.93 ERA, will oppose Wood in tonight. He will make his first start at Wrigley Field since Opening Day 2012, when he limited the Cubs to one run over seven innings but didn’t factor in the decision. The right-hander spun his first complete game and shutout against the Phillies on Aug. 16, allowing just four hits and walking one batter in the Nationals’ 6-0 win. What about Strasburg’s 1st innings stats? In his last 13 starts he has allowed a run in the opening inning only two times.

Obviously we will have solid starting pitchers tonight and we hope that they will be solid in the 1st inning, so take the Under and GL!
