Matt Magill’s (0-0, 6.92 ERA) stay in the Dodgers’ starting rotation could be short-lived if he doesn’t pitch well in Sunday’s series finale against the Braves at Turner Field. With Ted Lilly set to be activated from the disabled list while the Dodgers are in Milwaukee, beginning Monday, the veteran lefty could return to the starting rotation if Magill has a poor outing. So Magill will be pretty tensed in that game and we expect him to allow a lot of hits. While Magill shined in his Major League debut on April 27 against the Brewers, allowing two runs in 6 2/3 innings with seven strikeouts, he’s surrendered eight runs in 6 1/3 combined innings over his past two starts.

Meanwhile, Mike Minor (5-2, 2.75 ERA) will be on the hill for the Braves, looking for his third straight win and a series sweep. The left-hander Minor has not surrendered more than one run in either of his past two outings. He allowed a run on eight hits in 6 2/3 innings against the D-backs on Monday, marking his fifth win and sixth quality start. The 25-year-old has compiled a 2.40 ERA in his past 23 starts, dating back to July 5 of last season, which record is just outstanding, making him one of the Braves’ ace pitchers.

In addition, despite having only 16 home games so far this season, the Braves’ offense has 24 home runs at Turner Field. Moreover Braves are one of the best home teams in MLB, while Dodgers are almost on the bottom in away form statistic.

Don’t think much and take  Braves. GL!
